Navigating and layout

Contactosaurus has a style that should look familiar to Microsoft Office users. A ribbon tab across the top shows three tabs:

File tab

Traditional file and print buttons are in this backstage tab. None of these buttons work in the Beta version.

Home tab

Add, delete, or save the changes you have made to a contact. Login to your Google account, logout, or change accounts.

Internet tab

An inside-the-program web browser provides access to the Internet and to online documentation for Contactosaurus.

Feedback and Users Guide Buttons

The top-right buttons of the form provide one-click access to a feedback form or Contactosaurus on-line documentation.

Google Groups

The right side of the main form lists your Google Groups after you have signed in to your Google account. If nothing is displayed in the right side, you are not connected to your Google account - press the Google Login button under the Home tab.

Selecting a Google group

You can see the Google contacts in any of your Google groups by clicking on the Google group name. For example, clicking on My Contacts will (after a brief pause) list all of the contacts that are members of the My Contacts group.

The list of Google contacts within a Google group

Each Google contact within a group is listed with the contact's  name, title, and primary organization/company. In addition, the icon for the contact shows whether the contact has a phone or email address.

Size matters

The wider Contactosaurus is on your screen the more contacts will be visible. They will be displayed in columns under a Google group. More width = more columns = more contacts.

Selecting a Google contact

Clicking on any Google contact listed under a Google group will display it in the contact editing - left side - of the program.
