Desktop Sales Office helps you track and manage your Contacts.

  • You can import Contacts from a text file.
  • You can add, edit or delete Contacts.
  • You can apply a change to more than one Contact. For example, you can change the rating of a group of Contacts to 5.
  • You can add a Deal that is linked to a Contact or to a group of Contacts.
  • You can view the Deals linked to a Contact or a group of Contacts.
  • The Contact List lets you sort and filter your Contacts.
  • Contacts can be linked to Deals, Contacts, Appointments, Tasks, Documents, and web pages.

Does SoS have the capacity for advanced searches - can I search using AND, OR, AND NOT, using more than one field? Thank you Tom Markham

Advanced Searches - a most awesome question

Tom - good news. You can do very advanced searches. Since most sales professionals are not jedi masters at AND/OR logic, we had to find a different path.

  1. The Search feature looks in EVERY field automatically (in v11).
  2. The search highlights the contacts, and you can Hide selected or Show selected (this is the AND or functionality).
  3. You can also sort by columns and use advanced selection to Show or Hide blocks of contacts (for example: sort by City and select all contacts in Austin).

These techniques are visual rather than logical which appeals to most sales people, and follows the idea of "whittling down" the group until you are left with the ones you want. In practice it is amazingly effective.
