Selecting the Control Type for a field determines what type of 'control' will be used on the Opportunity form to collect information. There are five types of control that behave as follows:
· List Control - Entry Allowed – The user will be presented with a pre-built list of options from which they may choose one or they may enter any other required selection. A default from the list may be provided.
· List Control - Entry NOT Allowed – The user will be presented with a pre-built list of options from which they may choose one. Only selections from the list may be made, and the user is NOT allowed to make a manual entry. A default from the list may be provided.
· Check Box Control – The user will be presented with a check box which can be 'ticked' or left blank.
· Date Pick Control – The user can use a calendar display to select a date entry.
· Text Control – A simple text entry will be required. A default may be provided. This is the predefined selection for the Opportunity Name field (1), and may not be changed for this field.
