The Opportunity display is the middle area of the home page and is the area where your sales Opportunities are displayed. Sales Opportunities are organized in a tree structure and the tree sequence is controlled by the Navigator. The tree is organized as:
Category
Opportunity
Group
Field
......
Field
Group
Field...etc
Categories, Opportunities, and Groups can be expanded using the "+" next to each icon. If Opportunity Name (i.e. Field 1) is chosen as the sort sequence, then no Category level will be built in the Tree display as, in this unique case, the Category and Group are the same.
Groups are collections of similar fields. For example, all of the fields that are related to the status of a sales Opportunity are in a status group, and all of the fields related to the products are gathered in a group. In addition, a group called Information is always present to display some summary information about the Opportunity - the revenue, creation and modified dates, age, etc.
Sales Opportunities have an associated icon to indicate their status:
·The default icon is the 'green dollar' sign
·Sales Opportunities that have an expected 'due' date will display a clock face icon when they are past their due date
·Sales Opportunities that are 'watched' will have a 'blue dollar' sign
· Watched Opportunities that are past their due date will have a blue clock face icon
· The currently selected Opportunity will have a double blue/green dollar sign icon
· If the currently selected Opportunity is past its due date, then it will have a double blue/red dollar sign icon.
