Journal is a special field that can contain up to 32,767 characters and is used to store history data about the Opportunity. The icon at the side of the Journal text will change to a white, dog-eared corner over a yellow background if there is any text in the Journal. Clicking on this entry will take the user to a text entry screen for Journal display and entry. as with standard text entry, using the Date button will insert the current date & time at the position of the cursor in the text field.
