Pocket PC devices have a 'tap & hold' capability so that when the user hold the stylus in place on the touch screen for a period of time, a 'circle' of colored dots appears and then a menu from which the user can make selections. The PSM application has incorporated this capability into its processing of the main treeview display, and holding the stylus there will display the following menu:
The first two lines are for information purposes only, and cannot be selected. The first line will indicate whether an Opportunity has actually been selected or not, and the second line will display the description of the Opportunity. This information will allow the user to see if this is actually the Opportunity for which they wish to invoke any of the other menu commands.
New Task
This will allow entry of a Microsoft Outlook 'Task' and the information in the Notes section of the appointment will be automatically extracted from the selected Opportunity.
New Appointment
This will allow entry of a Microsoft Outlook 'Appointment' and the information in the Notes section of the appointment will be automatically extracted from the selected Opportunity.
Sales Analysis
One of the new features of Version 5.0 is a whole set of information about analysis of the progress of the Opportunity, and the likelihood of success. This selection will take you to that section of the application.
Watch OFF/Watch ON
This is a simple binary 'switch' to allow the user to identify Opportunities that they want to keep an eye on. If an Opportunity has 'Watch ON', then it appears as a blue icon on the main Opportunity display screen, otherwise (i.e. Watch OFF) it will appears as the standard green icon.
