Office 2006 User Interface
Desktop Sales Manager closely integrates with Microsoft's Outlook. Microsoft is significantly changing the look and feel of it's entire Office suite and Desktop Sales Manger 2006 has been revised to take advantage of the improvements being designed into Office 12.

Calendar and Milestones
See your Outlook calendar integrated with Desktop Sales Manager information - and all in one place. Milestones from each of your sales items is intermingled with your Outlook appointments to give you one view of your world.
Linked Appointments
You can now create Outlook appointments that are linked to your sales opportunities. Just click on the link and the related sales opportunity appears.
Data Center Manager
The Data Center Manager allows Desktop Sales Manager users to create and manage a post office and mailboxes within the Sales Data Center.
Save To Mailbox/Get From Mailbox
Sales pipelines can be stored, retrieved and combined from across the Internet as if the information were on a local drive on your personal computer. Sales managers can see all of the sales information from their sales team as well as their own sales pipeline information:
Emails Logged to Journal
Now email communication with clients can be automatically logged into the Journal for each client. Even group email can create a Journal entry for each recipient.
Alerts
Alerts have been added to the program for some need-to-know situations. For example, when you have some sales opportunities that are overdue an alert will pop up. If your world is busy enough already, the Alerts can be turned off.
File Import
Sales information from other programs and sources like Hoovers and InfoUSA can be imported. Data is mapped to sales fields through a drag-and-drop interface that includes adding constants and compounding data fields (like city + ', ' + state + " " + zipcode ).
Create Letters In Microsoft Word
You can easily communicate with your clients through letters created in Microsoft Word. Simple copy-and-paste moves customer name, company, and address information into Windows Clipboard for use by applications like Word.
Word Mailmerge And Letters
Easily send letters to groups of your clients via Mailmerge information created for Microsoft Word. Create letter headings - (name/address/city/state/zip) for individual correspondence.
