Templates

Selecting a template

You can select a template by choosing Tools --> Select in the Template area. You can also load several of the templates through shortcuts in the Tools --> Template area. Templates are usually stored in the Program Files\Software On Sailboats\Templates directory.

The template is normally loaded when the program starts and before the first pipeline is opened. The loaded template applies to all pipelines. If you want to load a new or changed template, all open pipelines will be closed before the new template is loaded.

What is a template?

A template adapts Desktop Sales Manager and Pocket Sales Manager to industries and selling styles. It is most evident when entering or editing an opportunity for it controls most of the visible aspects of an opportunity - the labels on each field, the types of fields, Journals, Ratings, and more.

A template controls:

Checking the template in use

You can check which template is in use through Help --> About button.

Included templates

Fur templates are included with Desktop Sales Manager: Business-2-Business, Business-2-Consumer, Residential Real Estate, IT Consulting Services.

Custom Templates

Custom templates can be created using Template Manager - a separate program for the creation of templates for Pocket Sales Manager and Desktop Sales Manager. The same template adapts either program.
