Managing pipelines in a mailbox

The following example assumes you are a sales executive for Rhythm and Blues Services - a mythical professional services company that provides equipment and services to the professional touring musician. The example pipeline is based upon the Standard template, and uses either the Eastern Area or Western Area example pipelines that were installed with this program.

The collection of pipelines in your mailbox can get complicated - just think of how fast files accumlate on your computer . A sales rep may manage several pipelines, and then save versions of each pipeline. It is even more complicated for a sales manager who not only has their own pipelines, but also sees the pipelines of their sales team.

Mailbox manager capabilities

To help you manage this over abundance of information, Desktop Sales Manager provides "mailbox manager" area at useful places in the program. When you are opening or saving a pipeline in your mailbox you can use the mailbox manager area to assist you in selecting pipelines or in deleting pipelines. You can also access the mailbox manager capability when using the Data Center Manager (TOOLS --> DATA CENTER MANAGER --> MAILBOX MANAGER ).
