The way the Journal 1 and Journal 2 tabs look and act is controlled by the template you are using. See the Tools --> Template section of the Refernce Guide for more information on selecting a template.

The Business-2-Business template gives Journal1's tab the label 'Research' and is intended to hold useful background information about a customer. Windows cut/copy/paste functions can be used to add email, correspondence, pricing and configuration information, etc. The Journal1 field holds up to 32,767 characters of information.

Time Stamping

Using the Add Time Stamp button will insert the current date/time at the top of your journal. You may wish to add your own comments without the date/time stamp. Hint: It is recommended that you add your latest comments at the top of the Journal field rather than at the end. That way the latest, most recent interactions with your client (which are usually the most relevant to your current sales situation) are first and most visible.

Full Screen Editor

If your journal is large, you may choose to use the Full screen editor button to have scrollable access to all the information.
