Creating Appointments

The Desktop Sales Manager appointment form is very similar to the form used to create Outlook appointments.

Basic Appointment Information

You can enter the appointment subject, start time, end time, reminder, details, and all day event flag just as you would with Outlook.

Creating Linked Appointments

To created an appointment that is linked to one or more sales deals:

Select the sales opportunity or opportunities of interest from among the List tab rows-and-columns.

Choose the main Action tab --> Appointments (in the Activity area) --> Create A New Appointment

The appointment form will appear with the opportunities that you selected listed in the "Linked To" area.

Unlinking Appointments

You can use the 'broken link' icon on the appointment form to remove the link between an appointment and a sales deal.

Linking Appointments To A Sales Opportunity

You can use the 'link' icon to open and edit any of the linked sales deals.

Include Item Details

Checking this item causes the data, properties and Journals from linked sales opportunities to be included in the body of the appointment.

Setting Appointment Importance

The red, green, and yellow flags are used to set or indicate the importance of the appointment.
