Desktop Sales Manager allows efficient storage of address information in one data field. Likewise, contact information is stored in a single field.

Contact

The template identifies which of the 20 data fields is the contact field through the template Contact property. The information in the contact field is broken into two constituent elements - First Name and Last name. The First Name is extracted as the first word in the contact field. The Last Name is the information in the contact field that is not the First Name - i.e. the Last Name is "everything else". Some examples:

Addresses
The template identifies which of the 20 data fields is used as the address via the Address property.

The following address can be stored in a single data field:
7717 S. E. Lincoln Street
Portland, Oregon 97206

The address field is expanded into constituent elements of Address 1, Address 2, City, State or Province, Postal Code, and Country.

Address Formats

Desktop Sales Manager currently recognizes two common address formats - US and Great Britain. The program looks at your computer's regional language settings to determine how to interpret address information.
